Terms of service

Effective 7 September 2026.

The service

numbered.me issues a sequential number to each account that passes a humanity check and signs in with GitHub or Google. A number records that its holder completed that check at the stated time. It is not identification, a credential, or a certification of anything, and should not be relied on as one. Verification level: self-declared.

Numbers

One number is issued per provider account. Numbers are issued in order, once. They cannot be transferred, exchanged, sold, or returned. A deleted number is retired, not reissued.

Revocation

A number may be revoked for automation, impersonation, abuse of the service, or fraud in obtaining it. Revocation is public, lists a reason, and may be reversed at the operator's discretion.

Your conduct

Do not register through automation, do not attempt to obtain more than one number per account, and do not request the public API, badges, or cards at rates that interfere with the service.

No warranty

The service is provided as is and free of charge, with no warranty of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. It may be changed or discontinued at any time. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from its use.

Privacy

How data is handled is set out in the privacy statement.

Changes

Changes are made on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
